At first I was like- will I like this?
Then I asked - do I kinda like this?
Then I had a weird existential crisis
Then it just got a little too much for me.
So give it a try-maybe you’ll like it, maybe you’ll have a crisis…

Did y’all not read the same book I did?

This book glorifies rape and SA and should not even be considered a “dark romance” - there is nothing romantic about it.

Not only is the main plot line SA every other page, the story is awful, the writing is redundant, and the characters are annoying. Why a publisher thought it was a good idea to put this book out into the world (warning notice be damned) is emotionally abusive to all readers.

Rina, (and frankly, all the readers who gave a favorable review) are you ok??? Blink twice if you need help.

This was the stupidest piece of steaming radioactive trash I've ever had the misfortune to stumble across.  It reads like a failed Wattpad project.  Ive never felt so unsafe in my life just lying on my bed reading a book.  I would rather be visited by the 3 ghosts of Chrismas than have to read another sentence.  Vile.  Grossly offensive.  Insensitive.  And also badly edited. 0/10 stars.

I'll be honest I don't know how I feel about much of this book, but I liked enough of it that I will probably read the rest of the series. But man this is not for the faint of heart.

Killian Carson, you’re one weird mofo. Chapter 2….nasty. Then you go on to 🍇 her again? Multiple times. Weird. The only thing i like is when he calls her baby, that’s it.

Started for a book club, if it’s not obvious the book has very very dark themes including rape and violent SA.

This one was interesting. I was a little iffy until about halfway through the book. Then I was hooked, I think I need to see a tad bit of humanity in Killian. It was a 4 star because some of the scenes just seemed very fairytale and cheesy. Also, adding the parents   POVs seemed odd to me. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series.

It’s a dark romance, but I wasn’t prepared for a rape scene first thing. Also, the MMC is the corniest psychopath. Like everything he said either made me cringe because it was cruel or cringe because it sounded like the stuff 16-year-old boys wrote about themselves during their emo phase. Kinky? Yes. Sexy? Sometimes. Cringy? Always.

The narrator didn’t know that to “leave on read” is like “red,” not like “reed,” and it hurt every time.
