this is very borderline bully romance. so there’s that. it’s fine. it’s darker and it’s in highschool so a lot of just childish antics? they definitely bring in additional characters that you can read more about but i don’t think i’m interested enough to try any. so there’s that.

Love, love, love!!!!

This book was definitely more than I had expected. So well written, I hung onto every single word, I was down for this ride! L. J. Shen really did not disappoint, so worth the hype and the wait! Vaughn finally get his happy ending!!! This story was just amazing!!! Can’t find my words... just amazing!!!

I have a soft spot for L J Shen, I have loved her books for years. Her books were the first I read as an adult (after I put down the fanfics!) so I’m familiar with her writing, and love the flow of the storytelling. Lenora and Vaughn….ahh, great characters. Seems like Lenora wants her dad’s blessings for a lot of stuff and Vaughn is an ass in the beginning but when you understand why it kind of all makes sense. He was vulnerable with Lenora and that was cute to witness. Loved it, finished it in a day.

This was my favorite of the All Saints High books!
I've been dying to learn more about the dark and moody Vaughn since I read about him in PR. I can understand some of the reviewers views on him, he was not romantic, he is very angry and very vindictive. (I mean, it even says it in the title, I expected him to be an asshole.) Little by little you start seeing the cracks in his armor the more he spends time with Len. Vaughn and Lenny were both dark and twisty people. They are both hurting from their pasts, and they hurt each other. They try to deny their feelings for each other, but by the end they realize their true feelings and start to heal one another.
Everyone in the book was kind of an asshole, but I think that's what made me like this book more. It's not a perfect, typical romance. I live for the angst and loved the darkness of this book.

3.5/5 stars
While reading the All Saints High series I didn't find myself liking Vaughn as a character. I usually prefer the comedic and sarcastic character like Knight. While reading Angry God I actually found Vaughn very intriguing and grew to enjoy him a lot. I loved the detail of art in this book. Art became something book was centered around I thought that was a very nice touch. I think Lenny was an ok character I think she was very stubborn which is both a strength and weakness of hers. I enjoyed their story together but I found this book to have some pretty disturbing scenes. I think it obviously important to write about and create conversations about sexual assault but I think the portrayal of it was more vivid then need be. Other than that issue, the book was intriguing.

Wow. This book had me feeling all kinds of ways.
By 25% in, I could not stand Vaughn Spencer. I wanted to punch him in his pretty little face.
But man, did I LOVE Lenora. What a tough chick. She could dish things right back. I was waiting for her to blow up the entire world! :)
And then... around 50%... I started to soften ever so slightly on Vaughn.
This is a pretty dark story and some of the content is uncomfortable, but these types of stories are my jam. With that being said, there were several scenes that I just LOVED. The love/hate chemistry between Vaughn and Lenny was fascinating. And the suspense within the story was very well teased the whole way through.

The justice was deserved

I really would have liked to see Arabella suffer more, but everyone else who did wrong got what they deserved and brought me joy. This book made Vaughn's attitude make so much sense to me. All of his actions and behaviors in the first two books just clicked it was amazing.

I liked that the female main character had a freaking spine.
