I always expect an amazing story by Ms. Shen.
But with Angry God she outdid herself.
It was absolutely stunning!
It was a page turner like the rest of her books.
But with this one I couldn’t flip the page fast enough.
Yet wanting to read slowly and devour every single word.
At times in the book I was laughing out loud.
And times where tears were streaming down my face.
What an absolutely impactful book!
Vaughn stole a piece of my heart.
Which he will forever hold.
Lenora is one strong amazing young lady.
She’s fierce and loyal.
Vaughn and Lenora together are like gasoline on the fire.
They are intense and push each other to the limits.
The tension between them is like a live entity.
It’s breathtaking.
Beautifully written story.
So much passion was put into it because I wasn’t reading words.
I was seeing them come to life.
For me the mark of a great author is if their story is unforgettable and leaves an effect on me.
Angry God did just let and so much more ❤️

this was one was heartbreaking and entralling..

I hated Vaughn at first and immediately loved Lenny's fiery, take no prisoners personality.

With each page turned, and Vaughn's layers slowly being peeled back, I started to like him, and this twisted and kismit relationship between our two main characters. I was sad, torn, disgusted, smiling, and in love with this story. Vicious and Emelia's story held a special place in my heart more so than any of the other hothole's stories, besides a love for Dean and Rosie's from the start, theres was my favorite alphahole who is hurt damaged and falls in love with their heroine.

LJ Shen did a phenomenal job crafting the tale of Vicious and Emelia's son, Vaughn. It was beautiful, raw and honest, heartbreaking, tragic, yet hopeful and inspiring. Vaughn and Lenny was destined for one another, both to fall in love and to heal together through they both had deep and painful scars of trauma. So happy at how this one ended.

And Vicious standing up for his son when he found out Vaughn's secret... he did it for him so his son's soul wouldn't have that black spot that he as a loving father and husband already carried with him upon his soul.

why was this acc so cute

im on beach holiday after 6 months of 1. writing my masters thesis, 2. having a full time internship, and 3. having a part time job. i intend to EXCLUSIVELY read low brow smutty books for the remainder of this summer, and that's that. stay tuned for me reading a book a day cus these kind of books are literally like taking my brain out and putting it in water to cool off for a second. anyway.

so, did i like this book? yea, sure. it's fine. it's not vicious, but it's pretty close. i don't love having to read about 18 year olds but what're you gonna do, i'm a creature of habit, if an authors' writing works for me once, best believe i'm reading all their catalogue until i can no longer stand it. it did the job it was meant to do, which is, entertain me mindlessly while i lay on a beach bed for 7 hours a day. Peace and love y'all. I'm cruisin'.

no idea why i keep on picturing seo inguk as vaughn

I don't love all of L.J. Shen's books equally - the first two books in this trilogy, for example, I gave 4/5 stars. But some of Shen's books I love a whole hell of a lot. THIS was one of those books. I don't know if there was anything I didn't like about it, quite frankly. It was steamy, moving, and satisfying what with how justice was served in the end.

It's been a while since I read the first books in this series, but I remember being intrigued by Vaughn, and wanting to read his story. Turns out it was my fave of the three books.

Vaughn, você é tudo pra mim e mais um pouco.

The justice was deserved

I really would have liked to see Arabella suffer more, but everyone else who did wrong got what they deserved and brought me joy. This book made Vaughn's attitude make so much sense to me. All of his actions and behaviors in the first two books just clicked it was amazing.

Aww so I really loved this one.

I wasn’t sure how I would like it so I’ve been holding off reading the last book in the series for a few months. I wasn’t thrilled with Knight’s book and was leery about this one.

But I enjoyed it! It was angsty, but not annoying angsty. There were some very real issues and traumas to work through and so it made the angst and anger that Vaughn had to work through a lot more realistic and understandable.

I also really liked Lenora. She’s strong and confident and exactly what Vaughn needed. I love it when the h/H actually make sense and in this case they very much did.

The trauma from Vaughn’s past was heartbreaking to read about (and by the way doesn’t have anything to do with his parents, which would be wrong since we’ve read their book!). But it was amazing to see Vicious step up and help his son. He’s still such a freakin badass. I LOVE his crazy arse.

Overall it was a great conclusion to the series. The only thing I thought was missing was an epilogue reunion with all the families and guys back together again once more. That would’ve been nice. :) But still a great book!

P.S. I find it kind of ironic that both Vaughn and his dad (Vicious) started their love/hate relationship with their future spouses when she walked in on them doing something embarrassing and regarding their darkest secret. Not sure if the author did this on purpose but I found it kind of funny how that happened.
