THIS BOOK! VAUGHN SPENCER HAS ARRIVED AND IS TAKING NAMES PEOPLE!

Angry God was one of my most highly anticipated, my most stalked after the book of 2020 and it was everything I could’ve wished for! After encountering Vaughn Spencer in previous books, where his arrogant attitude was all up in our grills we all couldn't wait to get our hands on his book! And he didn't disappoint us! I am in Leigh's Reading Group and the time she has been teasing this book has been killing me!!

After reading [b: Vicious|30839185|Vicious (Sinners of Saint, #1)|L.J. Shen|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1481945407l/30839185._SY75_.jpg|51437887], you can expect how his son is going to be and homeboy is the literal copy of his daddy. Although there may be a bit of Emilia there...he is full Baron Spencer! Vicious and Emilia, thanks to the lord, were amazing parents. They both loved Vaughn so much and Vaughn loved them too. Vicious is the kind of man that would do anything for Em and Vaughn. I loved seeing that after nineteen years Emilia and Vicious are still madly in love, I loved seeing the family dynamic, the father/son scenes, and I loved seeing how much Vaughn loved his mother and that he, too, would do anything for her. By the way, Vicious’ POV was amazing; I can’t believe that POV made me love him more.

Vaughn is complicated. He's a dark and broody artist. He's emotionally withdrawn and introverted. He's cruel and manipulative. He's also an amazing talent, incredibly gorgeous and unforgettable. He seeps into your soul and takes hold. Lenora is a good girl. She follows the rules, gets good grades, works hard, and stays out of trouble. But she hides her darkness. After losing someone close to her, she wanted to change who she was. So she embraced her dark side.

Although at the beginning they can't stand each other, L.J. does a masterful job narrating the evolution of their relationship and the characters, I loved the way in which the author gradually reveals layers and layers in their personalities. Wow! They are the perfect combination, innocent but sexy, vulnerable but strong, hurting but divine.

Overall, I have a genuine love for this series and even though a part of me was expecting more from this book, I still enjoyed it and I loved how the characters embraced each other, fought for what was right, and loved with every part of their body. This is another one of L.J Shen books that you don’t want to miss.

Some aspects of this book I felt a little too much like Vicious 2.0 and like yes ok he's their son but we like to see the kids stand on their own ! But I will say that Lenora felt like a more emo Emilia to me and I loved their relationship and push and pull. Also loved the cameos of the parents and Knight even though my son is... absolutely useless... we love him anyway

I can’t help it, I loved this book and this series and I’m sad to see it end. These books will always be special to me.

Hate me, but I didn't think it was THAT good. I guess it's just overhyped for me.

The fact it played somewhere completely different was the first kicker. It's a companionship novel. We barely saw anything from the other characters, aside from Vicious & Emilia and Knight at the end. (And Hunter ... who now has his own book?! Will read, but he has such side character vibes).

And what's it with all of the HotHoles kids being virgins?! Their parents saw it as their godly mission to slam everything with a pulse and the kids are like "nope". I mean, Vaughns story, okay ... well .. but still. The book in general is a bit darker than the others ... but not much. Not penelope dougles, dark.

ADDITIONALLY in this book it was very clear that the whole timeline between the All Saints High books was waaaaay off! Someone prove me wrong! I plowed through these books in mere days and it just seems like while writing LJ hat issues connecting the events properly.

Daddy Vicious was cute though.

Lord have mercy this book. The blurb didn’t give me much of an idea about what the plot would be about. After the first chapter this book consumed my life. I was feeling many different emotions at once, and I was left speechless many times. This was my first time I've read L.J. Shen, but now I will be reading and watching out for all of her books.

Vaughn is one of the most interesting character I've read about. He was broken in a way know one knew about .Vaughn's darkness suffocated him, but he played his revenge extremely smart. I was not expecting his story to break my heart so hard though. I knew underneath that thick armor would be a heart of gold.

Lenny understands what it is to loose a major part in your life when her mother died. She lives her life not caring about other people think, and putting her best effort into her future career. I love her self acceptance. I loved the way she never backed down from Vaughn either. Even when it went against her morals.

Vaughn and Lenny balanced each other out perfectly. They accepted all of their faults, and supported what they wanted to be in life. This is the type of relationship that most people would dream of. This was a great romance, and it definitely let a lasting impression.
