Okay now that aside this book was 🔥🔥🔥 I can absolutely see why it's been banned and challenged so much, and it's absolutely one that NEEDS to be read. I wish I would've read it as a young adult because it would've been wildly eye opening. I also think there are a lot of people who would see themselves in many of the characters.

The only thing that icked me was the YA-ess of it, -sometimes it was a bit cringy- and the very subtle misogyny against Iesa (slut-shaming)
