Started off well and then just meh nothing new to see here
Gave it a 3.5 but rounded up to four bc I am a sucker for pirates. This story was really good and kept me intrigued but it was also pretty predictable. There were only a few times that I was shocked. One of them was how non spicy it was. I was under the impression that this was a spicy book but it was not unfortunately. Like I said. I did enjoy reading it but will probably not continue with the series bc Prince Edward low key gives me the ick:)

This was okay. It moved quickly in terms of plot, but often didn't make much sense in its scene transitions.

While I found enjoyment in this book, it took some time to fully engage me.
To be honest, the story felt like it started in the middle rather than at the beginning, leaving out crucial elements of world-building and plot development. Additionally, the epilogue would have been more fitting as a prologue for the next book.
I wished for more exploration of Georgette's relationship with her mother instead of her sudden act of violence against Captain Stone, followed by her seeking refuge with the prince. Georgette's willingness to marry Prince Edward solely to preserve her honor, despite the circumstances, left me feeling uneasy. Furthermore, the decision of Georgette's father to marry her off to a pirate before taking his own life struck me as cowardly and irresponsible.
However, amidst these qualms, I found the revelation that Georgette is a siren to be a surprising and intriguing twist that I hadn't anticipated.
Apologies for the scattered nature of this review; I simply needed to express my thoughts.

What in the pirate - wattpad - stockholm syndrome was this?
Just poorly written. Good idea and characters but a lot of holes in the timeline and plot.
fast-paced
I actually loved this was an easy read. Did figure out one of the plot twists pretty fast but dint figure out the other till just before you found out in the book. Was not expecting that ending but i loved it. This book os deffo for the girks who wanted captain jack sparrow it does remind me of the movies but with a better plot if you read it you will get what i mean. Its actioned packed its twisty and technically an enemies to lovers but more like capture to lovers. Would have been 5 stars but its advertised as a dark romance and it isnt but thats okay even though it would really work as a dark romance. There isnt much spice its hinted but its off page
