I just don't vibe with the characters and the way everything is written. I'm not really into religion in such a way that I can read 300+ pages of it (even if it's queer). Sadly a dnf for me.
What can I even say? This is the craziest effing book I have ever read.
When I read CWs I think, "Oh that's only in here a little bit." Nope. Not these. Take those CWs seriously.
The descent into the fall of Lucifer builds up so slowly that we don't even realize it's happening before it's too late. It's a betrayal for Michael, the other angles, for the reader. The glory and purity of the beginning only makes the gore of the end that much for grotesque.
10/10, feeling weirdly validated but also just in awe of the writing and prose.

Forte, tremendo, poetico e coraggioso. Non è un libro per deboli di cuore, mi verrebbe da dire... ma è sicuramente qualcosa su cui riflettere. I temi trattati sono estremamente attuali e trattati con feroce sincerità.

I had a really hard time with this book. Both because it threatened to crush me emotionally and because it’s written in a style that I am unfamiliar with and found challenging. I both loved and hated this book.
