it’s super weird but not necessarily in a bad way, just kinda a banal way. why is twink lucifer drinking wine before humans were invented? why did other angels have millennia long alcohol addictions and why is it funny?

concept was interesting, which is why i picked it up. but my god is the writing...it needs work, i'll say that much. the writing / characterization for all characters was childish even when it (i assume) was not supposed to be. spelling and grammar mistakes on every page, took me out of it. like the whole "turning bad" thing was just because lucifer and the angels felt like it. like ok...sure, could've done a cool rise to fall that was gradual throughout the book, but instead we have everyone laughing / snickering every line they say
one of the most beautifully written books I've ever read

“i waited for your touch to save me.”
there are no words to explain the masterpiece of this book is, i can try, but i’m afraid i won’t do it any justice. i desperately need every word this book engraved deeply into my bones. the intense amount of joy and pain I felt while witnessing the rise and fall of lucifer is unlike anything i’ve ever read or felt before.
the themes of identity, religious trauma, sexuality, desire and doubt were portrayed in this novel so perfectly. not to mention the prose was so lyrical and hauntingly beautiful.
i fear this book has rendered me speechless. just know that i will read anything rafael nicolás writes
