One of my favorites I have to say. It was fun and enjoyable but also cringe at times. Gareth saying he "sees red" when he's mad was very comical and took me out of it. Also, Hyacinth and Gareth's daughter pissed me off. How are you going to find a bag full of diamonds and jewels and not tell anyone? She's so fucking stupid I actually hated her. I didn't like how we didn't hear much about the other Bridgerton siblings in this one, I understand that It's because Miss Hyacinth is the youngest child so they all have their own lives but come on, not even a birthday party? I did however enjoy how we got to see more of Gregory because he's been a little absent thus far. I would probably recommend this book more than the others but unfortunately you'd have to read the others to get sort of a back story.
I had stopped reading the Bridgerton series for a while as Francesca's book wasn't my favourite however, I knew that I would love this book from reading the first chapter alone. I just felt such an immediate connection with Gareth and Hyacinth and I loved their relationship from the get-go and the story gave me such a thrill and giddy feeling that I could not stop reading it. Long story shot I fell in love with this duo very very quickly and want to reread it again immediately. One of my favourites in the Bridgerton series (alongside Anthony's of course). I also loved the way that they progressed from friendship to relationship and how Hyacinth wasn't afraid to be herself which was refreshing to read.

I don't know if it's because I'm running out of steam from reading this series all together, but I found too many parts of this book to be unbelievable. I still enjoyed it. And I'm certainly going to still read the last book now that I've come this far. But the younger Bridgerton children do feel less fully developed as characters.

I don’t know how Julia Quinn manages to make each installment of this series just different enough from the previous one, but somehow she does. Another great one!
