Honestly, the first part of the book, I wasn't even sure if it was written by Brandon Sanderson. I had just finished the first 3 (and 2.5) and the style of writing was different
After that the story was compelling and entertaining.
Another question: does anybody know why I pay the same for the 175 pages of Dawnshard as I pay for the 1200plus of Rhythm of War?

A much better novella than Edgedance. The novella flows better and, in my opinion, has much better character. I’m not sure how it fits into the greater story, but it does its job as a separate story in a fantastical universe.
