“Equality is only scary if you have to give up power to attain it” 

 I LOVED this, despite the climate anxiety and existential crisis it gave me. The ending was a little bit lackluster, but this was compelling and I didn’t want to put it down.   I loved the commentary on gender, equity vs equality, feminism, and power. The writing and pacing was excellent. Queer dystopian fiction at its best 👏
