it was a cute book. retelling of the princess and the frog according to the movie i saw anyways. i really wanted to read book 3 so i read this one 1st. good book.

Reading this because my daughter told me to. Not very good in the writing department.

When Princess Emma kisses an enchanted frog, she expects him to turn back into a human... but instead she turns into a frog. Adventures ensue as the two frogs must find a way to get to the castle and find someone to turn them back into humans.

This is a fun little fantasy romp with a light dose of romance (nothing more than kissing), great for fans of fairy tale retellings. I love Katherine Kellgren's audiobook narration, although there are some production issues (bits that have background fuzz, long pauses between sections/chapters, etc.).

Readalikes: Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine is another great fairy tale retelling that fans of the genre will like.

I read this book in 5th grade and made a diorama of a scene in it that got an A+, so therefore I have to give this book 5 stars out of principle.
adventurous lighthearted fast-paced

Meh, cute, but the male romantic lead has zero redeeming qualities.

I wanted so much more from this book. I think it's a fantastic premise, but under-developed for the age-range it's recommended for. I'd def. say it would be great for middle schoolers.
