Added one star.
There are more 'traditional' LitRPG grinding in this one than in the last one, but we still have the continuation of the maybe-romance part. We learn more about the clans, the world, the history, and why Mahan is important, though, only in the game.
I like how deep the understanding and control of clan leaders are, and how far 'normal' players and even Mahan are from this level. Of course, since this is a re-read I know what is coming.
Added one star.

I agree with the sentiment expressed below, it's slightly annoying at how lucky Mahan keeps getting (and if there every was a Mary Sue...), but I'm going to keep going because, 1) I want to find out if there's a reason why, 2) the sub-plots (and that dang chess set!), and 3) it's fun! It also makes me yearn for the old EQ days (especially since the Phoenix vs Dark Legion rivalry is very reminiscent of the Prophecy vs Phantom Raiders rivalry from my server)

Was für ein Einfluss ein guter Erzähler eines Hörbuches hat! Denn wenn ich ehrlich bin, weiss ich nicht, ob ich der Reihe in Buchform überhaupt noch folgen würde. Mahan ist einfach zu überpowert. Zwar versucht Mahanenko immer wieder, ihn auch stolpern und Fehlentscheidungen machen zu lassen, aber trotzdem bekommt er immer mehr Sonderstatus und dieses Extra und jenen Bonus. Ächz.
Aber Jonathan Yen, der die Hörbücher liest, lässt Mahan einfach so sympathisch klingen, dass ich doch immer wieder voll mit dabei bin und mir die Geschichte Spass macht. Ich denke wirklich, nur Yen ist es zu verdanken, dass ich die Reihe weiterhören möchte.

4 miesiące temu zaczęłam tę książkę, przeczytałem 100 stron i odłożyłem ją z powrotem na półkę. 2 miesiące później miałem kolejne podejście i znowu nie mogłem się wciągnąć. Ale jak to się mówi „ do trzech razy sztuka” i spróbowałem jeszcze raz. Całe szczęście wcześniej nie starałem się czytać na siłę bo wtedy moja ocena byłaby pewnie całkiem inna.
Bardzo lubię bohaterów, zwroty akcji są naprawdę zaskakujące, a jedynym problemem jest to jak łatwo wszystko przychodzi głównemu bohaterowi, ale wydaje mi się, że to nie jest przypadek i w następnych częściach zostanie to w jakiś sposób wytłumaczone.
Ta książka to prosta, a zarazem bardzo wciągająca rozrywka. Akcja toczy się w grze komputerowej, a pomysł i wykonanie tak bardzo mi się podoba, że czasami sam chciałbym w nią zagrać

No i właśnie o to mi chodziło, panie Machanienko. Wrócił jeden konkretny cel, może i trochę się zmieniał i był modyfikowany, ale był. I dzięki temu znowu zupełnie super mi się to czytało. Przez ostatnie 30 stron nikt by mnie nie zmusił, żebym to odłożyła. Kilka razy w środku książki również były takie momenty, ale dobrze, że nie była taka bez przerwy, bo sesja - trzeba robić inne rzeczy też przecież.
Machanowi idzie coraz trudniej, coraz mniej rzeczy dostaje zupełnie za darmo, musi wybierać. I to jest świetne. Mam nadzieję, że w następnej części spotkamy się z Mariną, bo chcę się dowiedzieć, dlaczego Machan jest aż tak wyjątkowy.
