i mostly enjoyed this esp w the suffragette movement but why was i rec’d this as a funny book 😭 more angst than i expected
Just ok. So many tropes crammed into this one that it isn't sure what kind of romance it really wants to be, and I was not very impressed with the heroine supposedly being intelligent and well-read but also making really dumb decisions and thereby forcing this book to go on a lot longer than it needed to.
I found this book delightful. My only complaint was Annabelle drove me a little crazy, but I guess she was being realistic for the time period.
This was fine. The couple didn't spend a lot of quality time together, but I liked the political backdrop that framed the story.

I really liked to read about the gender problems and activism in this book while following a smart woman falling in love with a smart man. Both their flaws were prominent, but I didn't mind it as much as I sometimes do. They both made their emotional not so smart choices, but that also was logical for the storyline that someone cannot be always radical and levelheaded. I enjoyed this book and would recommend.
