This was so close to being my favorite book. Loved them surviving and living off the land together. Hated when they got to the city in the last portion of the book and we find out about a lot of withheld info on the heroes part. But I LOVED that initial part so that’s saves the book for me.

Loved this book!! I love that these characters go through a big of time together and get to know each other (though Lily doesn’t quite see it that way until the end) in a real way and not superficial. They see the good, bad and ugly. Verrako is a bit of a stubborn male in the sense that he doesn’t always give all of the information Lily might need to make a decision but he has her best interest at heart always and in the end she realizes that and they live happily ever after ❤️
