I really wanted to like this, I love dragons.... However the pacing was all over the place and in the end it ended up like a Saturday morning cartoon from the 00s meant to sell toys. Then the ending happend. I wasn't expecting a M.Knight style plot twist. But that increased the rating by 0.25 points..well done book.

This is clearly a kids book, which is what it is. But the characters are basic and I felt the begining was tad on the preachy side... So many things happend at once, it felt like the book was scared to see anything develope naturally. I probably won't finish the series...but I hope Billy defeats Voldemort 👍

An exciting fantasy adventure novel which is set up for further installments.
Dragons, myths, an unlikely group of children, thrown together to defeat the Dark One and save both the human and dragon realms.

Not as fun and emersive middle grade book as I had hoped but will probably continue with the series at least with book two

Brilliant adventure underpinned w/ a dazzlingly imagined dragon-filled mythology. Filled with twists-and-turns a plenty, an adorable friendship group, & a cliff hanger of an ending that made me DESPERATE for book two, DRAGON MOUNTAIN was So. Much. Fun!!

This was kind of cute and full of adventure. I loved the references to Chinese mythology and old stories.

Each dragon had a different temperament and seemed to fit really well with their human except for maybe Spark because why call a dragon Spark when i manipulates water
