There are six whole episodes in this volume, five of which are based around the preparation for and the event of the school festival. I really enjoyed these episodes. The sixth episode is one that did not feature in the anime, in which the Host Club get in trouble with the Vice Principle and end up on a cooking mission to find his favourite soup (the moral being not to waste food). This story was a bit weird and seemed like a filler episode.
I enjoyed this book, Kyoya had some brilliant scenes and you start to learn a bit more about his past and his family. I am coming to like Kyoya more and more, whereas before he was one of my least favourite members of the Host Club.
You also learn a little more about Tamaki. It shows his relationship with his father. His grandmother hates him due to his mother being a mistress to his father, leading to his father’s divorce. It also tells of how Tamaki grew up in France but was persuaded to move to Japan by the offer of money to help his ill mother (as long as she stayed in France).
This was generally a great book, with some really funny moments and some very serious ones.

This is my favorite thus far because there is a lot of Kyoya, who is my favorite. I am curious to read the next one because this takes us through the school festival which is the last episodes of the anime. The storyline was different than the one in the anime, other than they both were during the school festival and Tamaki's grandmother was the same. I do notice that there was a few things throughout a couple of episodes that were combined in the anime so, I am curious how the rest of the manga will play out.
