The story was great, but the writing in the action portions was clunky.

A thriller with an interesting plot.
Sydney, a divorced broken woman, moves in to her childhood home along with her mother and best childhood friend Drea when things take a tragic turn. Suddenly, her neighborhood is quickly changing and she feels something is amiss. Along, with new neighbor Theo, she decides to investigate. Overall, a good story, but felt like there were still lingering questions that were unanswered.

I agree with the other reviews about the book taking forever to be interesting. The last 100 pages were the best part. But getting there was like pulling teeth. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
It did talk a lot about gentrification and was mildly creepy but overall just very boring. Not a long going on.
