Was unterscheidet dieses Buch also von all den anderen?

This book is a cross between “Room,” for obvious reasons as the subject matter is the abduction of a woman who is taken to a small dwelling and forced to have children with her abductor, and “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” in that it has a very similar clipped writing style, with short sentences written from a child’s perspective that somehow lend to the overall creepiness. It was…..good. Kind of a whodunnit with clues dropped in a creatively creepy way.

Probably more of a 2.5 stars. The first section was riveting and I couldn’t read fast enough. Then it sort of fizzled out for me and there was a lot of filler that I didn’t think did anything to further the story. It would have been more concise and fast paced for me if some of that had been left out. Overall an entertaining read that was easy to get into.
