Logan Bruno is the newest student at Stoneybrook Middle School. When he meets Mary Anne, they both realize that they like one another...better yet, it turns out that Logan is a good babysitter.

I bought a hell of a lot of BSC and Sweet Valley High books at the last library sale. Mostly for my niece, if she'll read them. But also for me.

Why, you may ask, would I re-read Babysitter's Club when I'm 28 years old and have hundreds of books waiting to be read?

Allow me to provide a quote:

"I thought we made a pretty good-looking group. Claudia was wearing short, tight-fitting black pants and a big white shirt that said BE-BOP all over it in between pictures of rock and roll dancers. She had fixed a floppy blue bow in her hair. Stacey was wearing a white T-shirt under a hot pink jumpsuit. Dawn and Kristy looked more casual. Dawn was wearing a green and white oversized sweater and stretchy green pants. Kristy was wearing a white turtleneck shirt under a pink sweater with jeans."

OH YEAH.

I'm having WAY too much fun re-reading these.

Man, as an adult with social anxiety, I relate even more to Mary Anne now than I did as a kid. I really enjoyed the portrayal of how reserved she is. Did not appreciate the way her friends and Logan tried to shame her out of it but...you know...men ain't shit so who is surprised? This is by far the best Mary Anne book to this point in the series.

This is one of the books I remember most from my childhood, since I adored love stories. I love that Logan is from Kentucky and has a southern drawl (hate that he doesn’t in the new tv show).

Really enjoyed reading the series. Growing up with the babysitter club books really taught me a lot. And now being able to read them as graphic novels and seeing the younger kids today reading these as well makes me feel really good about this generation. This was such a cute story and really well written.

The BSC changed my life in the 5th and 6th grade. My friends and I would coordinate so that we could read all of the books. I remember writing to Ann M. Martin to get her autograph. I thought it was amazing that she actually responded to me! I remembered how cute and sweet this one was! I loved Logan and Mary Ann together.

Reread for #BSC #bookaday

Logan is such a sweet heart. He really is perfect for Mary Anne. Also, loved how Ann M. Martin phonetically wrote how Logan talked so you could hear him too.
