This was such a cute installment with many lessons about trying things outside your comfort zone and respecting your friend’s’ boundaries. Cute cute cute.

I borrowed this from my 11 year old daughter---book number 10! I've been reading them in order and reminiscing. I remember this is about where 10 year old me started to lose interest in the BSC. I mean, I still read them from time to time, but they just started getting a little too grown up for me with all the talk of boyfriends and dances. ha! I think most of my BSC reading from here on out won't be as familiar as these first 10 were.

Two funny parts: 1---I totally cracked up at the kids putting M&Ms in his eyes and pretending to be Annie. Bahahaha! I'm pretty sure I didn't get that at 10. 2---the girls had to assess their tape collection...and I immediately thought Scotch tape. Does this fly over the heads of the current generation of kids or do they know what a tape collection is?

This review appears on my blog: https://confessionsofabookwormweb.wordpress.com/2020/11/30/book-review-logan-likes-mary-anne-the-baby-sitters-club-10-by-ann-m-martin/

This is another installment in the Baby-Sitters Club sereis that I had not read before. I am glad that got to see the start of Logan and Mary Anne's relationship because they have been one of my favorite OTPs (one true pairing) ever since I was in 6th grade.

Logan Bruno is a new student at Stoneybrook Middle School and he catches Mary Anne's eye, especially since he looks like one of her favorite teen heart throbs. He also has a cute accent (his family moved from Louisville, Kentucky). However, Mary Anne is really shy and does not have the courage to talk to him. Thankfully it seems like Logan is also interested in Mary Anne, and he is also intersted in joining the Baby-sitters Club - the club is in desperate need of some extra members to help with sitting jobs.

But when he attends a meeting, things get awkward especially when the girls want to talk about an incident with one of thier classmates which is embarassing to talk about in fron to Logan. But maybe, just maybe, they can figure out a way for him to be a part of the club. But will he get up the courage to ask Mary Anne out?

This was a cute installment in the series and I loved watching the start of Mary Anne and Logan's relationship. 4/5 Stars.

As a kid my best friends sister had the whole BSC series on a book shelf in her room. I thought she was so grown up. And I envied this bookshelf. And would often poke my head into that room just to look at it.
And when I read BSC, I felt like such a grown up.
And while I might have still been a little too young to understand some of the issues dealt with in these books, I do appreciated that Ann M. Martin tackled age appropriate issues, some being deeper than others, but still important.

My favorite episode of BSC ever that can still make me grin like an idiot because hello world I present to you my first ever book boyfriend, Logan Bruno! the nostalgia of being reminded of what a fantastic middle school experience i was getting 7 years ago. Seems like yesterday i was borrowing the book from my school library and died at home having fictional boyfriend fantasy

The 8th graphic novel in this series is about Mary Anne. The babysitters club has put out an ad to the PTA at their school that they can offer their services. What they got was a lot of responses and realize they need help. Logan, a new kid at the school (and a kid that happens to look like a famous boy that Mary Anne has a crush on) says he loves to babysit. The girls pair he and Mary Anne up on a job and they discover that they do like each other. Mary Anne - who is shy - struggles on what to do when Logan asks her to the school dance. With the help of her friends, she comes out of her shell and realizes how much fun they have together.

Another sweet book in this series that my daughter, Finley, and I read together. She has really enjoyed these graphic novels (and the TV show that was on this summer) and I love reading them with her. One of my favorite series growing up, and I am glad to enjoy them once again with her.

Check it out.
