Yes. I docked an entire star because Jackie Rodowsky is known for TWO things.

1) Being a walking disaster.

2) He's a redhead.

I can forgive almost all the other changes but you give me redhead Jackie or you suffer the consequences. Thems the rules, folks.

4 stars. Mary Anne was on her Drama Queen tip in this one. LOL. So dramatic about everything but I love her. She's a great character. I remember really liking her and Logan together when I was younger so it was so cute to re-read this one. Just a pure and sweet crush. The girls are now in the 8th grade here and it feels so weird watching them all grow up.

Mary Ann is coming out of her shell. I just hoped for more in this story as there could have been more. But I like logan and can't wait to see what adventures he bring's to the stories.

BSC re-read as a 32 year old #10...

The one where we meet Logan!
Was quite a sweet story, really. I don't actually recall Logan asking Mary Anne to he his girlfriend though, but from this book on suddenly they're an item? Maybe I missed that part.

Jackie was the highlight of this book. ✨️ Gold star for the walking disaster

Nostalgia again. Had me thinking about my first dance with a boy. Ugh, embarrassing.
IN Other News.......

Mary Anne is possibly much too shy. To the point of being annoying.

However, this brought up being respectful of friend's differences in personality, as well as pointing out that shy girls are not updateable. Which is important for a young person, when you feel awkward and just plain uncool.

I love how this series is being adapted into graphic novels. It’s fun to revisit a part of my childhood with each one. I also love the new adaptations being made to these books. Mary Anne was always my favourite character so I especially enjoy her books. I think the author did a great job portraying Mary Anne’s anxiety and it was great to see how Logan supported her with her anxiety.

These graphic novels continue to be just adorable. They are updated so well with the spirit of the original books intact. I can't wait for the next one!
