Great book about how music impacts your life in different ways. Highly recommend.

I felt like the author was very pleased with himself, and prone to name dropping. I don’t think I’d enjoy dinner with him. The book was interesting, but I had a hard time getting into it as the tone kept bouncing me out.

Guy really likes to toot horns. Literally, he writes music, but figuratively, his own (for his research and the people he knows) and music as curative, to the point where I question him. Yeah, music is pretty effective at treating certain things, but it feels at times he's promoting it as an alternative to traditional western medicine, and uh, he loses me there

Very interesting concept but very very scientific and technical. This would’ve been great as audiobook when the author references different songs to have them playing in the background or even a list of songs and music referenced throughout the book and made into a playlist for readers.
