There I was perfectly happy and in love with Declan and Grant's relationships. When all of a sudden Lauren Blakely goes and breaks my heart. Scoring with Him's cliffhanger destroyed me. All that's left of me is a girl desperately counting down the days until I get more Grant and Declan.

Lauren Blakely has hit another grand slam with her ultra sexy and charming M/M sports romance. I loved this book. The easy camaraderie and undeniable connection between Declan and Grant had me clinging to my kindle.

What started out as a temporary spring training fling grew into a strong bond. However, because they're teammates they had to keep their relationship a secret. The sneaking around created the most delicious forbidden element. The chemistry in this book is amazing. I loved the way Declan carefully and passionately helps Grant discover his desires.

The Men of Summer series off to an impressive start. I am seriously loving these baseball books and I can't wait to read book two in this duet.

Book 1 Men of Summer by Lauren Blakely narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan.
This is a book about baseball which I won’t lie as I live in UK don’t really know much about baseball but really enjoyed the story really enjoyed the little bit of education about baseball found it quite interesting.
Declan and Grant are the two main characters in the story it’s really nice to listen to a relationship between guys that isn’t sleazy are on realistic Lauren Blakely has a fantastic way of getting romance across to the reader regardless of sex race heritage culture she is fantastic at this getting the love across.
The story developed really well over the time of the book that’s narrated by two absolute fantastic narrators they do a grand job expressing both separate characters and also the other ones in the groups because obviously it been surrounded by a baseball team there is a lot more of the characters that they do the voices for and do very well.
My only complain about this book is after listen to quite a lot of hours it actually ends in a cliffhanger and I absolutely hate cliffhangers but because I love this writer had these narrators so much I will be buying the rest of the series plus I can’t live without finding out what happens but I’m gonna lie I’m not a fan of the cliffhanger I has just warned.

This is not that good but I honestly wasn't expecting it to be. I read it more for morbid curiosity than anything.

The plot is threadbare. It's hardly there at all, except as a convenient device to get Grant and Declan together over and over again. It is possible to have a steamy romance with a plot that isn't an afterthought but this is not that book.

The characters felt the same. Seriously, there were times when I had to go back to the beginning of the chapter to remind myself who was telling this part of the story. They had the same voice, the same mannerisms, the same fears and anxieties. That last point wouldn't bother me so much if there were differences in all the other spots. I get it; people bond over shared experiences.

The secondary characters were way more interesting. Reese, Emma, Chance, I wanted to know more about what makes them tick. Sullivan is intriguing as all hell! But Grant and Declan? I could take them or leave them.

And the "ending" is a joke. Cliffhangers are great but only when my attention has been captured so completely that I NEED to know what happens next. I don't need to know with these two.

Loved everything about this.

The audiobook by the drool-inducing Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan

Both MCs were sweet and down to earth and just plain lovely.

The steam was great!

I mean, did it read like a baseball "Him" knockoff? Totally.

Did I care? Nop! I enjoyed it alot.

What I didn't enjoy? The ending. That mother-cracking ending that just came out of nowhere. WTF!

That is why I shaved off a star.

Wow! The audio was incredible!! I’m not surprised! Teddy and Jacob are like no other!! Eargasms!

Heads up - I’m going to be writing “love” a lot!!

This was such a wonderful setup for the series. I love Grant and Declan. I love how they instantly connected. I love how open and honest they were with each other. I love how kind and gentle Declan was with Grant. I love how Grant was so bold. I love how they fell in love so quickly.

And then the last chapter happened and now I’m sad. So I’m going to dive into book 2 immediately!!
