I don’t know if it was the writing itself or the actual character but the Solene was basically insufferable and I like a good age gap romance but something about this one was ick. Maybe it was her (40) calling him (20) “my sweet boy” and “kid”. She also lowkey was kind of a terrible parent for awhile which didn’t really help
…that’s how it ends?! I stay up until 2 am for THAT?! I want to cry.

PICK UP THIS BOOK. My mom has been telling me to read this book for awhile, and I thought, "Yeah, yeah, I'll get to it." I can't believe it took me this long. The depth of the characters, the banter, the romance was my style. I can't wait for Lee's next book.
My only minor complaint is that Hayes is a tad unbelievable in his maturity / high-functioning. Like, that's not any 20-year-old guy. So, if you can suspend your disbelief a bit, you'll also love the book.
