Nothing much happened and it was very politcal. I can see why he chose to use animals instead of humans. The narrator (Philip Battley) is a legend.

I mean its remarkable, its satire of the betrayal of revolution and the change of language is probably what it is best known for, but the thing I found revelatory was the pathos and the sadness that Orwell runs through the book as the initial hopes are bitterly betrayed, it is the perfect political novel, in showing how its politics affects ordinary people
