All I can say here is I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I have no idea where the author will go from here but I'm in for whatever she has planned!!
Originally I gave this book a 5/5 star rating, I am now giving it 4/5 stars.
My last few reviews for the Pretty Little Liars series have been very sarcastic, so this time, I'm going to try to be more professional again.
I will say this: not much changed between the seventh and eighth books. There was still slut shaming, which at this point I'm sure no one is surprised about. Overall, the book itself wasn't too bad.
In Wanted we meet Ali's secret twin sister, Courtney, who convinces the girls she's really Ali, and she's not dead. Is she really Ali though? I won't say. What I will say is this: after having re-read the book, I felt things were a bit...rushed. I wish there had been more of Courtney. Maybe it's because I'm more fascinated by Ali's character than I am by any of the other girls, but it seemed rushed between Courtney arriving, Courtney convincing the other girls to trust her, and then the final twist at the end. It was especially rushed since Aria didn't trust her at all, and when she finds Courtney kissing her boyfriend, suddenly she does again. It didn't make much sense to me.
Overall, I feel the book could have been a solid ending to the series. I say "ending" because originally Sara Shepard was going to stop the books here but decided to keep going. To fans of the series, I would maybe say if you feel satisfied, stop here, because I read book number nine already, and the new arch really isn't that exciting.

What a creepy and mind boggling conclusion to the Alison story arc of Pretty Little Liars. The writing is such that the conclusion comes as a shock, but looking back on the other books you can see how it would all come together.
As a mother of identical twins this book really bothered me. There is no way that a mother could seriously not know which daughter was which. They might be fooled for a couple of minutes but not for years. Nevermind that crap about Ali and Courtney having the same dental records- everyone's dental records are different- even identical twins. I realize this series is fictional and I've enjoyed these books but the inaccuracies in this one really bothered me.

This one was super predictable. I feel like this is a good place to end the series, which isn't to say i won't continue..
Book was okay, but bored me for the duration of them deciding whether Billy was guilty or nah. The "switch" was interesting, but the series should've ended with this one (and it originally did).
