3.8 AVERAGE

Wow, this book has to be the best so far. There was so many curves that ended so crazy! I feel like this is what I've been waiting for this entire series. It was incredible how well the story telling was and how well planed this book was.

This book in the series does get into the scary side though too, even though most of these books are scary this book blows them out of the water. Wanted does feel like a finale book, which it was until Sara Shepard announced more would be coming to the series. There was only supposed to be 8 but now there are 16. Overall this book really was the best so far, it was one of the best reads I've read in 2023!

Coming back to having more books added, I don't know if it is the right decision to keep going, because ending like that would have been crazy, but at the same time I would really miss The Pretty Little Liars. So I guess it's all about how the books will go!

Overall this book was the best and I really hope the next one is good too, and worth keeping up the series, but like I said if things start to get silly the series for me will end at Wanted.

spencer already went through thinking her sister was ali's murderer before i know she's behaving suspiciously but like. why this again?

i'll just collect the annoying aria moments here:
"'i've never been to a school where so many classrooms are in barns!' that's because you've never been to a real school, aria thought.'" most schools don't have barns lmao

"aria kept telling hanna and the others that neon yellow was the hottest color in europe, but no one had been brave enough to try it yet" oh wow aria is so edgy and unique for wearing yellow nail polish

how can a baby cap be preppy why is aria so pretentious

other stuff:
i checked when i saw this like maybe a fourth/a third of the way through, hanna referred to her dog as a girl and in the last book her dog was a boy. in hanna's last chapter, the dog is referred to as a boy again can we get some consistency who doesn't catch these things

crouching behind a fountain is a surefire way to make it look like you're spying like it ain't subtle

courtney gets 10,000 facebook friends from around the world like 1. people wouldn't just add the secret sister of a murdered girl on facebook and 2. her sister was murdered she wouldn't accept friend requests from a bunch of strangers i'm begging authors to not incorporate social media if they don't understand how teens and young adults actually use it

i know i have things to complain about with aria BUT she was right in this book. like i would get automatically jumping back into your friendship with the friend you thought was dead but like they had such a shitty friendship with ali. aria is the only one making sense here she's right to be wary!!! in fact hanna especially should be, she's been fucked over by kate multiple times and mona was her best best friend who tried to MURDER her like she would not automatically be so trusting

they did a photo shoot for people??? for what??? almost being murdered

moving on to the end:
i'm glad hanna is getting over her obsession with popularity the whole series i've been like oh my god tv hanna is not this annoying

i know it's dumb to be like all their lives are magically better and their relationship problems solved but hey it's nice to see things working out for them once! and finally being friends! i've just been like, i need you guys to talk to each other

also i will say i like aria/noel maybe only bc the bar is so low bc every man in this series is terrible. pedophiles: ian, wren, ezra. cheaters: byron, mr hastings (peter?). plain misogynistic: mike. every scene he's in. so noel is relatively nice and normal. lucas was too but hanna fucked that one up so

i totally thought no one would believe them about ali/courtney bc they lost the letter i'm glad there was other proof

i DID get things wrong bc i vaguely knew what happened in this series, so i was under the impression initially that ali was the one who was dead (and was the one the girls were really friends with), and it was courtney sending them messages as A and all that after mona. THEN before i read this, i saw something about the ali/courtney switch happening pre-series, so i thought that courtney was the girl they were really friends with, but again that ali was the one that was dead, and courtney killed her, and that's why her behavior was off because she was keeping that secret. those things at least made some kind of sense bc while we don't know exactly what was wrong with courtney, i figured she was like a huge asshole, more so than real ali. and while it's terrible, i get ali wanting revenge on courtney for literally stealing her life from her and all that. but her wanting revenge on the liars makes NO SENSE, telling emily "you ruined my life" like???? they're not responsible for any of that. ali could've just lived a normal life as courtney, she was already getting popular, but instead she had to plan a crazy murder plot for no good reason

i know they knew her as ali but it's annoying that the girls continue to refer to courtney as ali, like damn the girl was murdered, admittedly she took over ali's life, but that's not who she was!!

anyway the series REALLY could have ended here, we know who murdered courtney, we know the truth about ali, why do i have to read 8 more of these
