Ali has a twin sister? Well isn't that just convenient. But how much do I actually believe that? It seems just a little bit too convenient and awfully good timing for her to just show up now. She seems to know quite a bit about the four girls, but that could be just because Ali told her.
But then again, you can't trust ANYONE!
Hanna was so mean to Mike in their breakup! I feel so bad for him, but one person I do not feel bad for is Kate - she is just awful!
The Courtney/Ali thing is just insane, I still can't get over it. Because they didn't find any evidence of her body in the fire, I bet she'll be back again! But of course no one will believe the girls because there was a fire - it was a pretty good getaway plan!
I'm happy for Hanna, Spencer and Aria because things seem to be going fairly well right now. But I'm not so sure about Emily - her life seems a little twisted up.

Sped through this one as well (in a day...wow, I love these books). The story arc in this book was perfect. The ending was great for those who didn't plan on continuing with the series (though I most definitely will out of curiosity). I still have some questions that I'm eager to have answered. There are also so many things where I think "gosh, I wish this was in the show!"

Another PLL book that I read in one sitting (of course, it was a plane, so it's not that impressive). Overall the series was entertaining. If you can just suspend reality a little and not over-evaluated any twist or turn, these are quite enjoyable.
It's definitely a little convoluted, but still a good read. Everything seems to be resolved, and it's supposed to be the last book in the series. But since there are at least 3 more, it seems like Shepard is going to get as much out of the series as she possibly can. Don't get me wrong, the books are good, and I enjoy them, but at some point, I'd just like to see the series be resolved and come to a real conclusion.
It still gets a 4 out of 5, though, because it's entertaining and a really quick read.

I thought the appearance of Courtney was really far-fetched. Ali has a twin and there aren't any photos of her with the family?
However, the way things turned out made it worthwhile. There was a good reason for the twin storyline after all.
