At first it seemed like a simple YA book about a Carnival and that almost made me lose interest however as the story progressed I did feel dragged in. The little details in the story is so cool, Scarlett and Julian’s relationship is something I very much hope will last, I’m intrigued for the next one.

I loved this magical world so much. I heard that people got annoyed with Scarlett, but she is basically me so… awkward. I also need me this magical shifting dress because it sounds like a dream.

adventurous challenging dark emotional mysterious tense fast-paced

Whilst I had some issues with some of the bizarre descriptions (what does midnight taste like exactly?) and with the main relationship (They fell so in love within FIVE days!), I enjoyed it overall. But if you really want a fantastic fantasy novel by Stephanie Garber, I'd recommend 'Once Upon A Broken Heart' instead.
