Could use more tea.
Agatha is on the case - fighting to determine the murderer and avoid the police. A multitude of deaths occur before the murderer is apprehended, some of which Agatha was friends with. The village is upset because of the latest regulations put in place which may be at the heart of the reason for murder? Or is it something else entirely?

I have my go to authors that provide unique storylines with well-loved characters. This book hits the mark again. I need to break up my reading list with some emotional and mental fluff to keep my sanity …. By the way, the way this series is written you don't really lose anything by reading out of order. Enjoy…

It's a fine book to listen to when your dog wakes you up in the middle of the night because she's freaked out by thunderstorms.

What an amazingly convoluted story! I finished all 6.25 hours in one day of listening.

Ican't believe that this is the 21st book in the Agatha Raisin series and I still look forward to each new addition to the series. I bought this book to take to my mother who is having health issues and decided to pull my old trick and read it before delivery. Agatha Raisin is a opinionated, self-absorbed woman in her 50s who has retired from a public relations firm and who has moved to a small village in the English Cotswolds where she operates a detective agency. As usual, Agatha gets involved in several "situations" which result in general mayhem and chaos. A fast and fun read.

Love, love, love Aggie. It's nice to see its not all about her this time, there are a few characters and you are hearing more of them in this one. On to the next one!

After the dreadful effort of There goes the Bride this new installment of MC Beatons Agatha Raisin series is only mildly better .
I've read all the Agatha Raisin stories from the Quiche of Death onwards and in my opinion they have got progressively worse.
They are good for a quick read but I have found that they are just becoming more more badly written with the same words being repeated far to often and the story themselves are just ridiculously far fetched.I know its supposed to be lighthearted but without spoilers some things are just plain silly .
Having said that though there are moments during these stories when you can't help but laugh out loud and I still have some hope they will get better again (fingers crossed).I love Agatha Raisin as a character but something is definately lacking i cant quite put my finger on it.Ill persevere because ive grown to love the characters but please MC Beaton take note ..Quality is always better than quantity .

Review - Sunday was immediately very annoying, though that was the point, so well achieved. I loved Toni and Simon and how they worked together a lot. James is getting on my nerves again, as is Charles, though I must admit the relationship side of things is funny. The two murders which you find out are actually unconnected was a great start to the novel. There were plenty of Red Herrings and I didn't manage to guess who it was. What maybe let this one down was that everyone seemed to die in the end.
