a lovely, entertaining rom-com! I flew through this one and read about 250 pages in one day without even realizing it.
i love percy and i love kit and i love how they grow together. i love percy's confidence and borderline meanness, and kit's guardedness and tenderness. and i love that its those things that intrigue them about the other person. they are very evenly matched in their verbal sparring and it was very enjoyable to read.
i also appreciate that cat sebastian didn't shy away from discussing the class differences between the two of them, and how they would affect their relationship. it is so important for percy to come to understand how his ancestors have been hurting people for generations, just because they could. the novel would absolutely not hit the same without this detail.
had a great time with the more action packed moments, like percy's prizefighting and the actual highway robbery (although the robbery was perhaps a bit too vague for my liking, would've loved to stay there a little longer).
only reason this isn't a 5 star is vibes lol and because it was veeery predictable...

A charming queer historical heist romance? Say less. I was there for the romance, the plot sometimes annoyed me simply because I wanted the two characters to make out. Very cute, a quick read or listen, made me giggle and squeal and kick my feet which means a 10/10 romance.
