A little lackluster honestly. I feel like the dynamic between the two MCs was a little underbaked and nothing was super compelling or interesting, but it was still a cute, pleasant read.

I didn't love this one quite as much as other Cat Sebastian books I've read, but considering Cat Sebastian has written multiple books that are change-my-life good, that's kind of an impossible bar anyway. I loved the characters, and as usual, I loved the dialogue and the writing style. I tend to prefer the low-plot, high-vibes Cat Sebastians, but overall, this was really enjoyable, and I very much look forward to reading Marian's book because omg, Marian's energy

This was a fun time.

Percy was the kind of character, posh and vain, who could have easily been irritating but I thought he was great and immensely entertaining. Kit was also a good character, more solemn than Percy but they balanced each other well.

I appreciate that we got the impact Kit's leg injury had on his daily life. There's also some discussion of class and the impact that has on personal freedom and some commentary on the misuse of power by the aristocracy, as well as touching on the discrimination faced by queer people. It's not heavy, this is mostly a light hearted fun novel, but as it's a historical I'm glad it at least mentioned what queer people would have faced back then.

The high way robbery stuff was all a lot of fun though.

Cozy, fun, story. I enjoyed their characterizations, and felt that both Percy and Kit were full realized people. There was less focus on the plot, more so on the development of their relationships, and the growth of their identity and goals. Looking forward to the sequel.

Heartfelt and hilarious, with witty banter and a steamy romance set against a scheme to eat the rich. Loved it!
