I was really frustrated by the pacing of this book. The short chapters and frequent POV changes left me feeling a little exhausted. And if the first two thirds moved as quickly as the last, I might have enjoyed it more.

I am a big Cat Sebastian fan and her books are still auto-buys!! While Queer Principles was a solid read it just didn’t hit quite as well for me compared to her other work. I don’t know if it was because I listened on audio or because I just wasn’t in the right mood? I liked the characters and their development both personally and as a couple, and I also really enjoyed the social/political thread. I think perhaps the plot pacing just wasn’t working for me. I love a good tropey romance (who doesn’t?!) but the twists were a smidge too predictable in this one. Still worth the read for the characters though!!
