Finishing this book while squealing and kicking my feet. Sickeningly sweet! The romance was steamy and tender and so lovely. The plot was fun and pleasurable to follow. One of my favorites of the year!

This was way better than I expected! I'm generally not a big fan of historical romance (although queer ones can be an exception)
And I feel like the class difference was actually depicted and explored in a good way. It wasn't just falling in love with a rich guy and suddenly forgetting all about inequality because 'love conquers all' or some bullshit
The characters didn't just fight and then have sex and forget about it, they figured out solutions and were ready to walk away if they had to.
But like Percy said"I'd be delighted to turn traitor to my class" so it all worked out and it was sweet and wholesome 🥰
I also like that Kit's thievery and such wasn't painted as something bad or unfair and in the end they actually decided to do it together, that was a very nice moment showing that Percy doesn't consider himself more moral just because he was more privileged but he also doesn't treat this as some sort of game

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I don't even know where to begin with breaking it down to get more detailed than that. The plot, the characters, the romance progression...loved it all.
Some of the plot twist I saw coming, but definitely not all of it. Even having figured out some of the details, I had so much fun reading this book. Can't wait to read the sequel to learn more.
One thing I will specifically mention: Collins is a gem. I love him SO MUCH. Toward the end he was my biggest concern, and I am so happy with how things turned out for him as well as our main boys.
Looking forward to book 2!

this was soooo cute!! i really liked the discussion of class, lords etc. it was very refreshing to see it discussed in the one is rich one is a commonor trophe, and that percy decided to give it up on his own accord. very good stuff
one of my issues was the timing of their relationship, itfelt longer than it was? apparently it had been a month? but it seemed longer and should have been, we don't no insta love in this house
also marian???what the hell was going on there. i know book 2 is about her but i think we needed something in this book. also rob? lol i gasped when he came back and i just figured out that his mum/scarlett was the current duchess of clare. i would have liked to know more about that. also, random at marian just leaving her kid?? and the book? kind of underwhelming that it was just blackmail material. righto
besides my above issues and questions, i had a lot of fun. very easy and quick to read.
