Waterfall

This was fairly strange and I’m not sure I fully got what the author was going for, but I also liked it? Which apparently puts me in the minority lol. There was a vague mythical quality to it which I thought was good, and I think the author took a chance with the ending that played out decently well.

This book was a depressing conclusion to this duology. I did not like the ending at all and the main character started to annoy me a little bit. I usually love every single word of Lauren Kate's novels, but something about this one just annoyed me. I didn't like the main characters choices on how to resolve everything and she was constantly thinking that she could do everything without any help. The ending just really made me mad. If you have read this than you probably understand why. There is a bit of a love triangle in this duology and she did not end up with who I wanted her to be with. I was not impressed with this book at all.

The first book was good. Not perfect but rather kind of weird nice good. And it should have stayed this way. I dont know what happened in the second one,it should have never arise . I was thinking that maybe it's gonna be better later but nope,it's even worse. This is the worst book I've ever read, I had the feeling that Lauren Kate didnt knew what to do next so she just wrote everything that sounded the most stupid.

And she feels no closer to facing Atlas or saving the world when Solon lets slip that love is Ander’s weakness, and that any affection he feels toward her makes him age faster.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? WHY?

First of all, I didn't know that the Teardrop series was going to be a duology. It's kinda stupid, I love long series, like Fallen for example.

The beginning of Waterfall was slow... It was hard to read, but slowly things were happening and it became more interesting.

When I figured out who Ander really was, I was moving my hands like 'Yes! Yes! Yes!' and my mom looked at me and thought I was crazy.. Oops... That part made me want to read and finish the book. And I did!

About the end, I don't think this was the end the book needed. It should've been different.
SpoilerBecause what is the point of telling Ander is capable of loving Eureka without getting older, and letting Eureka be with Brooks?! I mean, I thought this books was about the love of Ander and Eureka and defeating Atlas... If the book ended with Eureka being with Ander, I would've liked it more! TEAM ANDER!!!

So I give Waterfall 4 stars instead of 5!

This book was a Waterfall of emotion I must admit I hate eureka and love her at the same time as well as Brooke's and wish it would have ended so differently.

Bizarre, hard to follow, and filled with characters that are impossible to relate to.

I'm not even sure what else there is to say.

This book was so awesome but so so SO SAD.
Lauren Kate's imagination left me breathless again, with all these crazy things she's written about. But the thing is...why so many deaths? Why so much sadness? I was pleased by the ending, though. Bittersweet endings always are the best.
I will always recommend this book. To Atlantis and back

A lot of the plot "twists" felt repetitive/predictable, almost like copouts. The characters and plot lacked dynamics, and my willing suspension of disbelief was stretched pretty thin.
