What in the world did I just read? It wasn't bad enough to DNF but holy confusing mythology. Every time a problem came up there was a new magical way to solve it, and not in a "that makes sense" way. I had a hard time following the action, and there was a lot of nonsense build up to a less than thrilling end. This whole thing was a classic example of TELLING not SHOWING. Just not...great.
**spoiler**
Eureka losing connection to her "love" and "joy" really separated you from the characters. The severing of her emotions robbed the story of any heart I had left to read it. What I really want from my novels is to feel for the characters, and in this second book I just didn't get that.

I liked the first one better, since Eureka reached a whole new level of annoying in this one. I thought the ending was really goddamn weird and not at all what I had hoped. I hoped that even though the story wasn’t what I wanted, at least the ending would be okay. Well think again. Glad I didn’t buy this one.
I really wanted to love this. Then, I really wanted to like this. See, even though I am not the target audience, I really loved the Fallen books and I am a sucker for a good YA dystopian fantasy (or some related combination). The problem was that this dragged and I never really grew to like Eureka or her male interests. It didn't get really interesting until the last thirty pages. and even then mostly what I wanted to know was how Lauren Kate planned to bring this bizarre situation to a conclusion. It felt almost like she was working too hard to create the alternate world and I never felt the emotion she should have been flooded with given the destruction described. Where was her panic? Anyway. If you read Teardrop and feel compelled, read on. If not, skip it.

What in the....what did I just read??? Ugghhh. I so wanted to like this book. I LOVED the Fallen series and really enjoyed the first book, but this one just seemed like a paranormal circus of random sh!t that was all thrown into one book to try to make it interesting.
I loved the concept of the thunderstone but the fact that it could form this protective bubble around Cat, her dad, Ander and the twins was kinda hard to imagine.
Then suddenly there's robots?! Wtf? Where many ghosts can possess the robot at the same time? Uhh okay....
I think the most confusingest (yes, I just made that into a word) thing in this book was the fact that Eureka could suddenly kill people with a kiss and a touch? Like why???? When did this become a thing???
I think the whole "Ander aging because he's in love" thing was a nice spin on the storyline and he was visibly aging in parts of the story.
BUT THEN NO! ANDER'S NOT A SEEDBEARER ANYMORE AND HE SUDDENLY STOPS AGING. But if he wasn't a seedbearer to begin with, he shouldn't have aged at all!!! This doesn't connect and makes zero sense!
And the ending......good lord..........so Eureka possessed Atlas so he could cry tears of joy to reverse the effects and bring everyone back to life......okay, but like, why couldn't Eureka just do that herself? Is it because she's incapable of feeling joy? And then somehow Delphine and Brooks were alllll possessing Atlas at the same time......but he's not a robot........or is he?
Then Atlas and Delphine's spirits are now in some sort of necklace? Like......why? What purpose does this serve?
And then Eureka and Brooks somehow become part of a rainbow in heaven? So they're dead.....correct?
Just holy crap! A book should not be this hard to follow. I only continued because I wanted to see one of the love stories end and I guess it ended okay because Eureka and Brooks are together but ugh.
My mind is whirring from this book, trying to figure out everything that happened while still trying to maintain my sanity.
Y'all need to know that I am SOOOO generous with my book ratings. If I absolutely love a book, it has 5 stars. If it's good but I probably won't read again, it's 4. If I couldn't even get 100 pages into it (like Matched by Ally Condie), it's a 1. And if I can't finish the book, it's a 2. A 3 rating, to me, is a book that's just okay. I feel like I would rate this a 2.5 rounded up, because I did finish it and I'm satisfied with the ending to some degree, but it is probably one of the few bad books I've ever read (and it takes a LOT for me to dislike a book, specifically a young adult paranormal romance).
Overall, I'm so glad that this series is done. I think I'm gonna read one of my favorite series again like Hush Hush or Unearthly to make me feel better, because, honest to God, I need a nap from reading this train wreck.

Ander is so freaking annoying! "I'm not letting you do this" "You're not going there." Ugh just shut up and stop telling Eureka what she can and can't do. You don't own her and that's not love. Go away!
I do like Brooks. Even though Brooks wasn't in the books much as himself and not Atlas. Eureka's memories of him were good too. Brooks seems like a better fit with Eureka.
I love the twins, Claire and William. For kids their age they know a lot.
I'm still not sure about these books. I don't know if I like them or not. Is there another one? Because of not that ending would be perfect. I don't know where you can go from there without ruining it.

It was alright but I didn't fully understand Eureka's emotions and they weren't explained very well. I think that the book was dragged on a bit and the ending was very far-fetched. In the first book one of the most appealing things about it was that it was quite realistic and not too hard to believe but this did not continue into the second one.
