i sobbed probably every 30 pages. the nostalgia and feeling of homesickness was to much to handle at some points. obviously there are many differences but damn. i could relate to every single point. finishing the book i almost started look for a place closer to home.

This books was supposed to be (and should’ve been) about old ladies cooking for funeral services. However, it was a book about trauma and a poorly executed romance between two people that knew each other for a couple months and swore they were soulmates.

DNF, thought this book was going to be something else. For a book that deals with Christian ladies serving food at funerals there is an awful lot of language in the first two chapters alone. disappointing
