While trying to escape vengeful sheriff under the hot and merciless Texas sun Jack Reacher gets the ride from the most unsuspecting source - physically small but determined woman that asks Reacher for a favor - help her escape her pretty bad marriage. Although reluctant at first Reacher decides to lend a hand and soon opens up a very nasty can of worms that threatens not only life of woman in question but also everyone involved into her affairs.

Very fast ride (as expected from Jack Reacher story) with lots of twists and story-lines that run in the parallel but very soon converge into the main story.

Highly recommended to all Reacher and thriller fans.

Lo dejo, he llegado a la mitad pero es un auténtico peñazo de libro. Medio libro y todavía no ha pasado nada, por Dios que esto se supone que es una novela de acción

I like a Reacher novel now and again, and I've got plenty left to read, but they are not my favorite. Jack is definitely a badass character, but just a little too good. He's never wrong and always pushed everything up to the edge. It makes for an exciting story, but not very believable. Kind of like Dirk Pitt...no one is that good!

The lies within lies here kept me guessing. It's been 11 years since I last read this and I had forgotten a lot of the details. Of course, when the reveal came, I felt like I should have been able to put all the clues together. Reacher is a hard man. I don't think I like him, but I definitely respect him.

Pretty good Reacher novel...kept me guessing right to the end. Good way to pass the time in the car while driving with my family across country. My only complaint was that, as usual, authors who don't know guns should do some research before pretending that they do. Cartridges don't have firing pins, guns do. Cartridges would rest on their primers.

the book is as fat as a dictionary and I finished it in 24 hours. it was so good and really does give the word 'page-turner' a whole new meaning.
