A perfect summer read! While the romance may be not be my fave, the setting, and the inner journey Sam goes on, is wonderful. It made me so nostalgic for the beach vacations of my childhood!

I absolutely loved this book! My only wish is that it didn’t have any cheating in it and then it would have been perfect but that’s just personal preference. The writing is so easy to follow and the story played like a Hollywood movie a bit predictable but still made me girly squeal when he sang to her. Also loved getting past and present tense.

I thought this book was Ok. I listened to the audiobook which does help me feel more immersed in the story but this second-chance romance felt flat and it almost felt like it was forcing the reader to root for them. I’ve really enjoyed other books from this author. I didn’t think the book was bad. I kept comparing it to the notebook haha high school romance and then she gets engaged to someone else and then they rekindle their relationship. She breaks it off with her finance and finds herself, it was OK.
It was a perfectly easy breazy quick beach reach. A pretty predictable second chance love story. Lacked some spice IMO lol

I hope to finish this review later but I liked this one. The past and present perspectives worked for me. Overall, I liked Sam and Wyatt and I thought the plot of the brief parental affair, with the family with solid foundations coming back together and the one with more cracks falling apart was interesting in terms of a circumstance they couldn’t get past as teenagers.
I don’t love when someone is bordering on emotional affair territory, which I felt was starting to be the case on the Labor Day weekend when Wyatt and Sam hung out. I would have liked to have seen Sam reflect and take more personal responsibility around her actions there,
