I really enjoyed this one. Same Time Next Summer is the kind of book that feels like a warm breeze off the ocean—nostalgic, romantic, and a little bittersweet in the best way. It follows Sam, who returns to her family’s beach house with her fiancé and ends up unexpectedly reuniting with Wyatt, the boy who broke her heart years ago. Cue the emotional whiplash.
Annabel Monaghan does such a great job capturing that push and pull between the past and the future. You can feel how much history Sam and Wyatt share, and their chemistry just jumps off the page. I liked how the story didn’t rush the emotional moments—it gave Sam the space to really figure out what she wanted, even when it got messy.
If you like second-chance romances with a strong summer vibe and a little emotional depth, this one’s worth picking up. It’s sweet, a little angsty, and perfect for reading on the beach or pretending you're there.

Cute, summer romance! I enjoy the “first love” tropes a lot so I knew I’d like this one. Overall this was a fast, light read, and a good way to end the summer!

No spice but good story. Wrapped up too quickly at end.
Summer vibes were there. The main character was insufferable, but the writing was good. I’ll definitely pick up another of her books.
