This will be one of my rant-ey reviews coming on my website and Instagram. But basically, I need a word count for "boob" because holy guacamole the author uses that word a lot. It became so freaking annoying. (Update: I searched the Kindle app for word count. "Boob" appears 26 times in this one. Twenty six!)

Also found it ironic that it was a point of focus given the background story rooted in the #metoo movement. So... we are talking about sexual harassment and assault while also flaunting female bodies? Go figure.

But Asher's grumpy character is so loveable even though he tries not to be. You can't help but love his grouchy self. And his banter with Olivia is adorable and fun.

Anyway, I just finished so still gathering my thoughts. Full review to come!

I haven’t had a chance to read in forever! This was exactly what worked for me right now- light and cute. And Christmasy ☺️ Loved it!

I was so very surprised by this book, in the best way!

Looking at the cover and reading the title, I expected a cute holiday-themed romance. It's obviously a grumpy/sunshine kind of story and I was in the mood for that (I'm a mood reader).

The trigger warning at the very beginning - for sexual assault - gave me pause. This clearly wasn't going to be your average romance and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go down that rabbit hole. But I went and I'm so glad I did.

Olivia is almost unbearably sunny and positive and upbeat. Yes, she's young and a bit naïve but it's more than that. It's partly who she is and partly a defense mechanism. Much like Asher's grumpiness. They both take it to extremes, which created a lovely juxtaposition when they toned those qualities down and discussed serious topics. All the characters were really well done; I'd be happy to dive back into this cast of very relatable people.

This story tackles a really heavy, triggering topic. It may sound weird to say that it handles it well but it does. It handles it accurately, unfortunately. I come from the service and entertainment industries and everything Olivia and Joey and her friends experience is spot on. It's all whispers and subterfuge and never saying it plainly. It was heartbreaking but hopeful.

I will happily recommend this book to everyone but caution that you have to be in the right place to read it. This is the kind of story that sticks with you.

I loved this book so much!!! It’s office romance and grumpy/sunshine but the real treat is Chloe, the 6 year old niece who stole the show with her humor.

please look up trigger warnings!

… hmm I didn’t hate it. I read the entire book in a 6 hour stretch because it was very entertaining. The banter was supreme even though at times I think my feelings would get hurt. I’m such a sensitive little bitch

Very cute Christmassy read i was sooo confused with willa and Anna at first I didn’t get the mother - daughter relationship.
I also think that the Levi situation was weird and confusing
What happens to his father and brothers
I was very taken with wmc at first and almost made me cry sometimes ... I’m glad she gets her happy ending
