Sawyer is a strong and amazing FMC. And she goes by her own rules to make things better for her town. She doesn’t like to get involved with the gangs around town until she meets Cain and Oliver of the Reaper Rejects. Their chemistry is incredible from beginning but their relationship will have many twists and turns. I for one can’t wait to see their story continue in book two. R.A. Smyth does fantastic with both storyline and characters.

Ok, I think this may be my new favorite R.A. series. I loved Rebels and Rejects! Sawyer is the definition of strong fmc. She will do whatever she can to survive.
Gang romances are my jam lately and this one is no different. We've met Oliver and Cain before, so I knew them a teeny bit before coming into this one. I love the angst between Sawyer and Cain, he's got a stick up his rear and it needs to be dislodged

This book kicks ass. It had a good amount of spice, tension, angry banter, and a helluva good plot line. The characters were deliciously morally grey. Vengeance and retribution pumps through the pages of this book, and I was in love with every single second.
It really says screw the patriarchy with all the men thinking that The Reaper (a murderer) was a man. Hem hem. I think not. Sawyer really said screw the patriarchy and I love that for her. We love a female killer here. Honestly I may have a little girl crush on Sawyer. She had a swagger that is addicting, just like this book. I cannot wait to get my eager hands on the next one!!

I liked this one okay.
I love a badass heroine. What I do not love is when the heroine is touted as being badass, but yet continually flubs in the presence of the heroes. If she's the Reaper, and she's able to murder countless gang leaders without being caught or severely injured, how is she continually bested by the Rejects? It just doesn't make sense. You can't say she's one thing and then show something different. So I'm definitely missing the potential of her badassness.
I'm also not thrilled with either of the guys. They're fine. I also am not loving the fact that we haven't knowingly been been introduced to the third member of the harem.
There were a couple individual sex scenes, nothing group. Nothing particularly exciting.
So far, just kind of a boring start to the series.

A vigilante killer and 2 men who are oit for revenge. Rebels and Rejects has started out with a bang. With Sawyer being a woman who is intent on making men who have crossed a certain line pay yet keep the one person she loves the most safe. And fighting her attraction toward Cain and Oliver.
Sawyer is female vigilante killer by night,(aka The Reaper) and a str¡pper(aka Red) by day. Trying to make end meet all while making sure to rid the street of those higher up men known for Domestic violence. Those who prey on those weaker than them, yet trying to stay off the radar of all the gangs in Black Creek, but that plan goes out the window when she has a one night stand with a certain man, one who needs the Reapers help. Now she must fight to keep her brother, Luc safe, not break her promise to her friend Sheryl, and avoid being caught by The Antonellis, the Reaper Rejects and The Satan's Advocates. Now that ending was sure something I didn't expect, but really hope will be discussed in detail in the next book.

If you’ve read R.A. Smyth’s other series, Crescentwood and Pacific Prep, you are fully aware of the depths to which she goes to build a world in which you are immersed. You are also fully aware that her character development is second to none, and you can see exactly what makes each character act the way he/she does.
I CAN PROMISE, R.A. Smyth stays true to this reputation and DELIVERS as she introduces Rebels & Rejects, the first book in the Black Creek series. While we’ve met some of these characters before in her other series, we definitely don’t see them developed as they were here.
Cain and Oliver are out for blood as they seek retribution for the kidnapping of Cain’s sister, Evie, when they were just 11 years old. Sawyer is used to living a tough life as she does whatever she has to raise her brother, Luc. Her early years have made her who she is, and she will earn your love and respect very early on in the book. You will learn how “The Reaper” came to be.
The chemistry between Oliver and Sawyer (Red) is palpable. You will find yourself waiting for their next “encounter.” However, you also see something there between Cain and Sawyer…it kept reminding me that there’s a fine line between love and hate.
There is also Dante, whom we are introduced to in the prologue, and Enzo who we see interacting with Sawyer. Both of these characters are sure to have a bigger role to play as the series continues.
If you love hot men (with piercings), bada$$ women, and a compelling story that sucks you in from the very first page, then this is the book for you. Don’t hesitate, you won’t be disappointed!

"The chapters are so long..."~ Me
Clearly they aren't long enough because I need more OliverxSawyer.
A perfectly written book around three main gangs going at it, one of the gangs are briefly mentioned throughout the book but has no major significance as yet. The Reaper Rejects are like makeshift angelic demons among a shit hole of sleazy humans. They are desperate for their vengeance but have a goal bigger than that.
The FMC is the same way even though she doesn't want to admit it. Her relationship with her brother, Luc, Oliver and slowly with those surrounding her is absolutely adorable. I love how she's written, even though she admits her faults she stands her ground, and remains strong. She fights her way out of ALL situations and if she can't at the time she works around it. A real bad bitch
