I was pulled into this book quickly, loving Sawyer's feisty attitude and fiery personality. I loved Jon's (aka Bones) character and hope to see more of him as the series continues. The exact make-up of Sawyer's (Red's) harem is still TBD, but I have suspicions on who will join the picture in upcoming books. I loved Sayer's connection with Oliver; he seems to be my current favourite. Cain is all fire and bite, but I am all for the angst he brings to the storyline. I can't wait to continue reading the series. I also highly recommend the audiobook, which has multiple narrators adding to the experience. I am giving Rebels & Rejects a 4.5 / 5 Star rating for this strong start to the series.

Good start to a series. It's slow to unwind but I'm liking the characters and the story. Hopefully this series will not be ruined by book 3 like so many others (no fucking babies or preggos please)
Epic story! I love how fierce Red is and can’t wait to see what’s in store for Cain, Oliver, and Dante!
Sawyer is a strong and amazing FMC. And she goes by her own rules to make things better for her town. She doesn’t like to get involved with the gangs around town until she meets Cain and Oliver of the Reaper Rejects. Their chemistry is incredible from beginning but their relationship will have many twists and turns. I for one can’t wait to see their story continue in book two. R.A. Smyth does fantastic with both storyline and characters.

In total contrast, we're not based in a high school, but on the streets of Black Creek. Our FMC is Sawyer z a tough, badass, beautiful, snarky mouthy pole dancer who's raising her teenage brother, determined to keep him from gang life.
Gang life is the norm in this town. Those not in a gang were generally ruled by them in some way and lived in fear.
These days the Satans ran the local streets led by Python. But The Rebel Rejects are hot on their tails to take over. Ran by Cain and his second Oliver, their gang is very different than others and you'll see why.
Remember in Pacific Prep the kids rescued from the bunker where they were being trained to be killers? Yup. This was where Beck brought them. Remembering now?
This is very much a getting to know characters and setting the scenes book. And it packs a fair punch of info in!!
The Rebels Rejects are moving into their new home/headquarters at Radiant Park. They're upgrading and increasing the size of their fight pits due to its success and slowly taking over the Satans and eradicating them completely. Their main objective- to annihilate the mafia syndicate the Antonellis is closer than ever but still so far away. This is pure revenge for them taking Cains sister when they were younger, and he's been determined to make them pay ever since.....Crossing paths with the Reaper - a rogue killer who noone seems to be able to get any info on....there's only one person who can help.....
The Reaper carves an R in the victims chest. But the R could stand for something else....Rapist.....Red......which happens to be the street name Sawyer goes by. But when faced with the truth, Cain is reluctant to see this flame haired, smart mouthed, sexy woman is the elusive Reaper....
The clash between Cain and Sawyer is fierce - is it lust or hate? Too soon to tell but there's fire between them. Sawyer and Oliver have electricity too and there's no doubt that there's is definitely on the side of lust! Looking forward to seeing where these relationships go - 2 very alpha males with a bad ass, no shit taking female? AWESOME!!!
Secondary characters are again a joy to watch - her brother , a young Reject member Jon or "Bones" as he's preferred to be called. Enzo is definitely one to watch as we see him develop already!
Oh and keep Google handy for a surprise of Cains!! Might not be a surprise to some but it was new to me!!
Looking forward to book 2 and I'd recommend picking this up!!

whose the harem?!
We have a good clue of two guys in the harem but I’m ripping my hair out trying to find out who else? Dante? Enzo? Marcus? Help a girl out. I found the story a bit slow to start it took me about half the book to really get into it as it seemed we got character building and world building which is great but it wasn’t what i would sink my teeth into and read in one day because I was hooked. I’m happy I stayed with it and looking forward to book 2 and relationships forming.
