This was such a great start to the Black Creek series. Sawyer (Red) is an amazing strong FMC who k instantly fell in love with. Cain is the leader of the Rebel Rejects, with Oliver, his childhood best friend, as his second. Both of which are out for revenge. This book does a great job of setting up the world of Black Creek, the characters and their relationships before we get into the action. We know that this series will be a RH, but how many will be involved? Who knows! There are hints as to who else will be included, but I guess we will have to wait for book 2 for answers.

A vigilante killer and 2 men who are oit for revenge. Rebels and Rejects has started out with a bang. With Sawyer being a woman who is intent on making men who have crossed a certain line pay yet keep the one person she loves the most safe. And fighting her attraction toward Cain and Oliver.
Sawyer is female vigilante killer by night,(aka The Reaper) and a str¡pper(aka Red) by day. Trying to make end meet all while making sure to rid the street of those higher up men known for Domestic violence. Those who prey on those weaker than them, yet trying to stay off the radar of all the gangs in Black Creek, but that plan goes out the window when she has a one night stand with a certain man, one who needs the Reapers help. Now she must fight to keep her brother, Luc safe, not break her promise to her friend Sheryl, and avoid being caught by The Antonellis, the Reaper Rejects and The Satan's Advocates. Now that ending was sure something I didn't expect, but really hope will be discussed in detail in the next book.

While Rebels & Rejects is a spin-off of the Pacific Prep series, the vibe is totally different. Black Creek is a much darker and more dangerous setting and it’s full of characters trying to make the town a better place.
Sawyer (aka Red) has spent years doing everything she could to look out for and provide for her little brother, Luc. She works a job she doesn’t love, provides information to a guy who gives her the creeps and has an after dark vigilante operation to keep her busy and bring in money. She’s fought for everything and makes it a point to steer clear of the Black Creek gangs to keep her life as uncomplicated as it can possibly be. Red is smart, calculating and capable - she’s such an interesting character with so many secrets and abilities that I feel like we just saw the tip of the iceberg here.
Cain and Oliver are the leader and second-in-command of the Rebel Rejects, a gang that’s making a name for themselves around Black Creek with fight clubs and strategically taking out rival gangs. Cain is dark, broody and has one heck of a prickly attitude, but he’s dedicated his life to getting revenge for his sister’s kidnapping years ago. Oliver is fresh out of prison and came back to help his childhood best friend get revenge. He’s a lot more calm and collected than Cain, but Red manages to throw both of them for a loop - driving them crazy, piquing their interest and continually running in and out of their gang dealings.
We only get a few interactions with Dante, Enzo and Lor so I’m not sure where things will go with all of them, but they’re all going to play some kind of role in how this story plays out and I’m excited to read it. I also love Red’s brother Luc and Jon “Bones,” who is a member of the Rebel Rejects. Their friendship is really unexpected but it was a fun addition to the story, especially with Red’s insistence that Luc stays far away from all things gang related.
And the epilogue?! I’m really excited to see where book 2 will take things for all of the characters we met in this book and to see how the harem ends up coming together!

Didn’t like the writing style.
Man, Rachel has done it yet again! I can already tell just from the first book that this series is going to be intense. Red is the perfect FMC. She is a total badass. She has this take no bullshit personality that I love in my FMCs. Cain and Oliver are absolutely amazing. I am really hoping we get to see more of Jon and Luc. Dante, just.. whew. That man is going to be trouble with a capital T. I cannot wait for book 2
the beginning
This is just the beginning for Sawyer. There is a lot of information in this book about Sawyer, the Rejects, and the Antonelli’s. But as the book ends you can tell everything is just about to get interesting. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings. Sawyer working with Oliver and Cain and I have a felling Dante and Lor are about to be thrown in the mix as well.
