This was a hilarious and chaotic romantic comedy. The main Character Meddy, works as a Photographer for her family's wedding Business. The story takes an unexpected turn when she accidently kills her blinde date. With the Help of her aunties she tries to Cover the accident but things got out of Control and the body ends up at a wedding. I was fully invested in the story until the point where they discoverd that the boy was actually alive all the time and died a horrible dead in a cooler. They took this Information quite lightly and I couldn't take anything seriously from then on. The romantic subplot was also underwhelming and the characters were generally very one-dimensional written. There was more chemistry in the flashbacks than in the present and I also couldn't understand how Nathan didn't care about anything and acted like a love sick puppy. I had to roll my eyes more often than I had to laugh out loud. Apparently the humor wasn't for me.... I dont have any desire to continue the series, it did have some kind of open ending, but you can read it perfectly as a standalone.

Funny and fast-paced: a good read if you want to get out of a slump! However, it felt very surface-level and a little too fast-paced, but maybe it’s because most of the story takes place over the course of a single day.

It's meant to be silly & funny, but didn't really work for me. I didn't laugh, but did roll my eyes a few times.

Is this a literary masterpiece? No. But if you suspend disbelief and just enjoy the ride, it’s a decently entertaining book. It got me out of a reading rut, and for that, I’m thankful.

Yes, the characters are one dimensional, and yes, this reads more like the script of a movie than a book with solid character development, but it was a short, fun ride, and there were definitely moments that made me laugh.

As a UCLA alum, I also appreciated all the Westwood details :)
