I didn’t really get this (maybe should have read other books in series haha), but still enjoyed it.

This is a book for fans of Into the Woods, as the fairy tales all bleed together. I loved the diversity of these characters and the darker side of the fairy tales. I would've liked to either seen more plot and gone more in depth, or less plot with these two tired "agents of justice" just swapping war stories as they contemplate retirement. That would've been a fun story as well. But overall not a bad book and I'm glad I picked it up!

What a beautiful story of flawed people deciding to take the first step to redemption, to forgiveness. What a heartbreaking story of all kinds of messy, complicated love, sprinkled with fairytales reimagined to fit this world.

i was unaware until just now that there are two short stories in the series before this book, but i still really enjoyed it! it seems to me like the book was written so you can read it with or without them.

i really loved the combination of different fairy tales/myths from different parts of the world. and the ending was so beautiful
