Kat and Nico's story was full of longing and cuteness. I enjoyed the majority of the characters (appropriately disliked the one - he knows who he is). I didn't like this one as much as I liked Sleeper. I will say that Nico was high on my list of swoony awesomeness and I would relisten to this book just for him. Jason Clarke was awesome!
Really enjoyed reading this book. Love the story and characters. Single mom romance. Hot Rockstar. So amazing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Well, I sure am Charmed by this one!
Nico was likeable as the heroine’s brother/hero’s best friend in book 1 of the series, Sleeper. He is absolutely loveable in Charmer. You can tell immediately he has matured a bit, so it isn’t surprising when he has someone catch and hold his attention. This someone is a waitress, Kat, who keeps him at arms length for some time, and the wait is so good. Kat as a mom, I loved it. She felt real. Her struggles and insecurities as a mom were so relatable. Nico’s pursuit of Kat was so enjoyable. The focus the story had on his career was so good. He has his monolouge about why he because a singer/songwriter. It is really beautiful. And the songs, swoon. This story felt believable. The way Nico fell for Kat, the way he respected her and gave her the space and time she needed was fantastic. Kayley Loring did it so well with this one. She combines the right amount of humor, great characters both main and side, a lot of depth, a lovable lady and a swoony man!

Sorry Shane and Keaton, but you’ve both been demoted to #2 and #3 on my Kayley Book Boyfriend list.
I LOVED every single thing about this book. Nico is a charmer, he is talented, sweet, caring, loving, protective. It is impossible not to fall in love with him. Kat is a single mom to the most adorable little boy, she is hard working and insanely talented. She is loving and caring and strong. There is so much chemistry between Nico and Kat from the moment the met. Kat tries to deny it, but you can only resist the Nico charm for so long before you cave. Together they are explosive in the best way possible. I’ve never read about a hotter haircut! Tate, Kat’s son, he is ADORABLE. Seriously, the kid stole the show. He is super sweet, fun, loves magic tricks and jokes. Plus, the bond he forms with Nico is adorable (serious ovary explosion).
The Nico and Shane bromance aka #TeamShanico is something I never knew I needed in my life but I’m glad it is there now. It was loving, caring, hilarious and everything you would expect for two best friends turned brother in laws. There are not enough words to describe how much I love their relationship, but it is just something you have to read.
The secondary characters are perfect and add so much to this story from Tate, to more of Willa, Shane, Summer and Lucky, to the bus driver Ricky and my two favorite grandmothers EVER, Grammie and Lou. Those two KILLED me. They had me laughing and added so much to Nico and Kat’s story.
If you love a single mom, Rockstar, slow burn romance full of laughs, tears and heat then you’ll definitely want to get ready to have your pants charmed off by Nico! A MUST READ!!!!

Kayley Loring has created a standalone "series" (not really a series but the characters are linked) that is a perfect trifecta of the BEST kinds of romance: sexy, sweet, and funny.
Charmer focuses on Nico (Willa's brother from Sleeper) and Kat, a waitress, filmographer, single mother.
When we first met Nico in Sleeper he was a manwhore with no limits. From the moment we meet him in Charmer, he's celibate and obsessed with Kat. His inner monologues, his song lyrics, his words were both adorable and so damn funny.
Kat is a wonderful mom who put her life on hold for her son. She takes in tremendous responsibility, and despite her crazy attraction to Nico, she reigns it in. I loved her little video diaries (Sleeper had sleep/scent diaries...Charmer has lyrics/video diaries...such an AWESOME concept).
But Nico never gives up. No, he invited Kat, her son, Tate, and her mother, Louise, on tour with him so Kat can film his documentary and he can woo her at the same time.
What follows is seriously one of the cutest, swooniest, most adorable, sexy...gah, I can't even finish that thought because this book was PERFECT. So much happy feels. This is one of those books, like Sleeper, that makes you just, happy, while reading. It's a bit cheesy, a bit too sweet, a bit too perfect, but it WORKS. Holy shit, does it work.
Kayley Loring has done it again, another sweet and sexy story about a single mother and a singer musician. You meet Nico in Sleeper, but you don’t have to have read that first to read Charmer. However, I was intrigued by his character and couldn’t wait to meet the girl who would knock him off his feet, and Kat was the perfect woman to do that.
Nico, a former child actor, turned charming singer songwriter who has a playboy past but having watched his sister settle down, he knows he’s ready to do that himself. When he meets Kat, a waitress at a late-night coffee shop and they strike up a flirty friendship, he can’t seem to get his mind off her and returns e very night to talk to her. Kat has her reservations at first, being a single mother with dreams of her own to be a film maker doesn’t want to set her and her son up for heartbreak by letting Nico into their lives. She knows he spends a lot of time touring, charming women every night and never making commitments to anyone. But when Nico offers her a job opportunity which would open up so many doors for her future, she jumps at the chance and the dynamic of their relationship changes. The attraction is still there but there has to be boundaries between them if they are going to be spending two months together, with her family too. But after a few weeks in close proximity, their chemistry becomes so palpable and they give into their attraction. The attraction turns to more, as they open up and get to know each other more, especially with the nature of Kat’s job. Will they be able to make it work in the long term, or will Nico’s job drag them a part before they’ve even started? Will Kat let down the walls she’s built up around herself to protect her and her son and let Nico into their lives fully?
These characters were all so likable. Kat was such an amazing mother; she didn’t jump in too quickly and fully considered her own career and family before she dived into anything other than a fling with Nico. By the end Nico had turned into such a swoon worthy hero, he knew what he wanted and didn’t stop until he had it. It only takes on person to make you want to change your ways, and Kat was that person for Nico. I loved how he didn’t just fall for her but Tate too. He considered Tate’s feelings and opinions, getting to know him, learning his likes and dislikes. He was there for Tate when he needed him and acted like a true father figure, which was incredible.
I enjoyed how there was minimal drama and angst, everything that happened was understandable from both sides, but they spoke about it like adults and there was no miscommunication, which I adored. The inclusion of Nico’s songs and Kat’s video diary was such a special touch, so different and refreshing!
Charmer was a light, easy and feel good read, which is perfect for reading when the world is crazy. Kayley’s quality writing offers the best escape as you join Nico and Kat on tour and watch them fall in love. I devoured this book in one day, it’s a must read!

What a great read! I have looked forward to Nico’s story since reading Sleeper, and it did not disappoint! Unique, funny, quality main characters as well as a fantastic supporting cast and excellent storyline. Kayley Loring has once again written a feel-good story with some outright funny moments. From the first chapter I was hooked on this page turner.
Charmer was such a fun and engaging story. It really gave me the happy feels when I was reading it. Kayley Loring has quickly become a go-to author when I want to read a really witty, low angst, steamy romance.

I loved the story and i adored how much time Nico invests in not only winning over Kat but also her little boy. It’s sweet, and made for an easy and entertaining read. The writing style was easy to get used to, and I enjoyed so many sweet moments in this book.
This book has everything I need in the perfect romance. It's fun, sexy, and had me swooning the entire time. Kayley Loring created a masterpiece that I couldn't put down. This will not be the last time I read a book by her. She's definitely made it in my top 10 favorite authors with this book.
I'm in love with Nico. He's the perfect book boyfriend. He was a small playboy, but the moment he laid eyes on Kat he knew she was it. He patiently waited until she was ready to be with him. One of my favorite parts about him was that he held nothing back. He was able to open up to Kat, and be vulnerable with her. Nico played no games with her either. He wasn't shy about his love for her or for her son.
Being a single mom, Kat has put her son first every since he was born. She was trying to protect her heart, so she didn’t give into Nico right away. I enjoyed watching her not make things easy for Nico. He had to work for her love and trust. At times she let her insecurities get in the way, but that just made her even more relatable.
This was just a fantastic light read. Within the first chapter I was hooked, and I binged read it fast. My absolute favorite character was Tate, Kat's son. There was never a dull moment when he was around. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a fun light hearted read. I can't wait to see what else Kayley Loring will be coming out with.
