This one was a fun time, I liked it. Buuuuuuut I do think if you’re looking for a spy kinda novel, then I would read The Blonde Identity first 🫣

i am such a sucker for spy books, this was so fun to read!! i found there to be more of a focus on the plot rather than the romance and i kinda liked it that way ngl tho i wish we got to see more badassery from dove as a hacker

This was definitely a one-time read for me but if you like action movies with hackers and CIA agents this might be the book for you!

It also has a tiny hint of romance, in my opinion, it wasn't enough for for me to really care about the relationship because they barely knew each other and the chemistry wasn't really "there" for me and it's not really a defying factor to the book.

I also need authors to stop adding Taylor Swift references to their books, once or twice is manageable anything after that just annoys me.

I under the main character isn’t a spy so she’s not used to this world but the second she trusted a pinky promise from a man she’d only met the day before, I knew she was too stupid to function. How can she be an amazing hacker and also have the thought processes of a 6 year old?

"The Spy and I" turned out to be a delightful surprise! Dove Barkley, a self-professed non-spy, gets unwittingly tangled up in a high-stakes mission when she's mistaken for her sister, who happens to be a super-spy. Alongside Mendez, her sister's partner with a distracting physique, Dove finds herself navigating a world of espionage to prevent a national catastrophe.

While the premise feels familiar, the story takes unexpected twists and turns that kept me eagerly turning the pages. It's a perfect blend of action, suspense, and romance that had me thoroughly entertained.

If you're in the mood for a romantic comedy with a thrilling edge, "The Spy and I" is definitely worth adding to your reading list!
