Rule is the explosive conclusion to the Songs of Corruption Series. It brings us the stunning conclusion to the story of Antonio Spinelli and Theresa Drazen. One a mob boss the other, a woman of class and high society. This story is about truth, vengeance, sacrifice, hope, love, and protecting the ones we love. There are heart stopping moments, moments I could hardly believe. Theresa and Antonio’s story was impeccably mapped out. This book shows us how far two people from two very different worlds are prepared to go for true love, how many sacrifices they are willing to make, and how far they would derail from their own moral compass just to make sure they never lose that love. Sometimes love is unconventional and it breaks all the rules and blurs all the lines.

While the story remains action-packed from beginning to end, this is ultimately a beautiful heart-warming love story capable of surviving against all odds. C.D Reiss delivered once more a truly well rounded story that made me laugh, cry, swoon and tingle all over. I loved it, loved every minute of it. And did I mention that it is HOT as hell…?

The vivid writing had me in the moments with them, feeling their pain, their love and their hurt. I felt my adrenaline pumping and my heart rate soar as I read the fate of the characters and basked in a crescendo of angst. It's emotional, INTENSE, exciting and EPIC! I was addicted to RULE from beginning to end and will love this story forever.

Antonio Spinelli is my capo! This was an awesome conclusion to the series. The things he says to Theresa just melted me into a puddle of goo. The ending...the ending!!!! I was a mess, I wasn't sure if I was going to be crying sad tears or happy tears. I won't say which one I ended up doing so you can read the book for yourself. I love C.D. Reiss's writing, she knows how to set the stage and make you see every detail and feel every emotion. This was an amazing book!

i finished this trilogy as it fit in with a challange... Really its not for me...At all.... apart from the very well written smut... it feels very hormonal and all over the place.... Shes ready to die for her Capo and umm trusts him... but is frightend he will run off with his wife... um ok then

Not a standalone. Must read books 1 & 2. In this book there were some out of left-field plot twists that actually made me dislike the main characters and the believability of the plot took a nosedive. I actually skimmed quite a bit of the final book.

This book picks up from the end of Ruin, Corruption #2 after Antonio and Theresa manage to escape to Tijuana and find out that Jonathan is on his death bed due to heart complications.

As I predicted before Ruin even ended, the only answer for Antonio and Theresa: go back and endure more mob craziness.

Although I didn’t care too much for this series, I had to see it through until the end and see what happened. Through it all, two things have remained the same:

Antonio and Theresa are madly and obsessively in love with each other
They are ride-or-die to the point of being extremely annoying/irritating
With Antonio’s relationships with mafia affiliates breached and a hit out on Theresa, the couple spends the book running. They have limited resources and even fewer comrades to call upon so their only loyalties are to each other. However, these two can’t seem to come up with and stick to a plan.

Sometimes, it’s not their fault. When you have an entire city of killers and criminals after you, things tend to get a little unpredictable. Antonio has to stay ahead of the game and think of his adversaries next moves, form plans A-Z, and sometimes those don’t even work.

Theresa does what she has done the best for the entire series: make things harder and messier than they needed to be. Antonio makes plans that involve keeping Theresa safe, even if it means putting himself in harms way. When and if Theresa follows Antonio’s plans, she usually figures out that they’re somewhat suicidal about halfway through their execution and proceeds to put herself in harm’s way because she can’t live without him and would rather die first.

But Antonio can’t live in a world without Theresa and wants to protect her. Therefore HE would rather die first which sends us right back to Square One.

Does this sound exhausting yet?

Well, if it doesn’t, imagine these back-and-forths between Antonio and Theresa for about 5 additional scenarios. By the end, these two have practically given me a complex with their literally undying love.

Fortunately, there’s a nice plot twist and plenty of mafia movie-style violence at the end (or so I imagined) which brought this book to 3 stars instead of just 2.

I don’t think I need to read about any more Drazens for now but I’ll still be keeping an eye out for more books from Ms. Reiss.

Happy Reading!

A very nice wrap-up to the series. This was my favorite of the three. I still felt like there was a lot of push and pull in this one, but it seemed like Antonio was finally realizing he kinda needed to expect Theresa to not let him do stuff by himself and just make her part of any plan. My heart broke for them a little bit when Valentina showed up. And I understood why Theresa resisted Antonio after that, though she had to realize Antonio's love for Valentina died ten years ago when she was supposed to have died. I thought it was quite interesting that Valentina and Daniel ended up a thing. Kinda like wife swapping, lol, even though Theresa and Daniel never got married. Great story overall.

What an absolutely perfect finale to Capo's and Contessa's story. CD Reiss openly states she "breaks hearts for living", but she also puts them back together.

Antonio never fails to surprise me, for that sake neither does Theresa. There's a few moments of "Gasping* angst, LOTS OF gun-play, and consistently great sex scenes. There's a mighty good reason why CD has the followers she has - she's clever and not afraid to take chances, the characters end up in places, at times, that would make most question her sanity, but we ( said followers) also trust her to do good by them and she always does!

Again, Thank you CD for a stunning conclusion to the Songs of Corruption series!

I really enjoyed this last book. There was more meat to the this story than just Antonio and Theresa's obession with one another. Overall it was a good series. Honestly, I don't know if I would've stuck with it, if I was actually reading it versus listening via audio book..
